All Scripture is
God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness
2 Timothy 3:16
This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.
1 Corinthians 2:13
WE are REVERE
REVERE HIS presence. REVERE HIS word. REVERE HIS people.
The biblical definition of “revere” means “to admire deeply, respect, and honor God.” At Revere Church, that’s our foundation.
We care deeply about:
The presence of God— We want Him to go with us in everything we do.
The Word of God— His truth shapes our lives and our worldview.
The people of God— We believe intentional community is where transformation takes root.
And here’s the best part: the God we revere is the God who wants a relationship with you. He desires to know you. He takes great delight in you. He wants to transform you into the person He created you to be.
If you’ve been searching for a church to call "home," we’re so thankful you found us. Welcome to a community of believers daring to pray,
“God, reveal yourself to us. We don’t want to miss a single thing you're doing.”
WHAT we BELIEVE
At Revere Church, we’re rooted in seven core beliefs that guide everything we do.
-
We believe that sanctification is the ongoing process by which believers are transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit. It begins at salvation and continues throughout a believer’s life as they grow in faith, obedience, and holiness. Sanctification is both a divine work and a personal responsibility, achieved by God’s grace and empowered by His Spirit, as we surrender daily to His will. (Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:26; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Colossians 1:9-12; Jeremiah 29:11-13)
-
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, the Son is our Savior and Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit is our Comforter and Guide, dwelling within believers to empower and transform lives. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Isaiah 61:1; Mark 1:9-11; Romans 8:9-11)
-
We believe the Bible is the Word of God. Written by man, divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is the ultimate authority and is the standard by which we strive to live our lives. We believe that the Bible is to be studied, obeyed, and proclaimed through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, leading believers into a deeper relationship with God. As a church, we commit to upholding the Scriptures as the foundation of our faith and practice, seeking to glorify God by living according to His revealed truth. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Hebrews 4:12; John 16:13; James 1:22)
-
We believe in the reality of eternity, where every person will exist forever, either in the presence of God or separated from Him. Heaven is the eternal dwelling place of those who have trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation, where they will experience unending joy and fellowship with God. Hell is the consequence of rejecting God’s grace, resulting in eternal separation from Him. Our hope and assurance of eternal life rest in the finished work of Jesus Christ. (John 3:16; John 14:2-3; Matthew 25:46; Revelation 21:4; 1 John 2:25)
-
We believe that salvation is a gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It is not earned by works but is received by confessing Jesus as Lord and believing that God raised Him from the dead. Through salvation, we are reconciled to God, forgiven of our sins, and granted eternal life. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9; Matthew 1:21; Romans 1:16-18; 1 Corinthians 1:18)
-
We believe that water baptism is an outward declaration of an inward transformation. It is a public act of obedience that symbolizes the believer’s identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, signifying a new life in Him. (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:4; Mark 1:9-11; Luke 3:21; Matthew 28:19)
-
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers across the world. The Church exists to glorify God, equip believers for ministry, and share the message of Jesus Christ with the world. We are called to gather for worship, encourage one another, and actively serve in love and unity. (Colossians 1:18; Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 Peter 5:1-4; Ephesians 1:22-23; Ephesians 2:19-22)
